I'm working on finding my creative mojo. In an effort to shake off the staleness, I'm surrounding myself with inspiration. I've curated a short list for you in case you need a little creative movement as well. Enjoy!
Cohesive Home - More stuff does not equal more joy. In fact, I beg to argue that it only leads to misery. Cohesive Home is the brainchild of two friends. It's a podcast and blog curated to create a community of families that choose to live simple and intentional. Ever since I guest blogged last month I have been digging into the podcast archives and I am convinced that I need to rethink the stuff in my life. Sign up on their website and receive a 24-page guide with 7 steps to a cohesive home.
Susannah Conway - No matter what Susannah puts out in the universe, I love it. Her words always find me when I need them most. PS, sign up for her newsletters and you receive access to her free inspirational library, which has a lot of goodies for the end of the year.
A Simple Life - In response to #1 on my list, I've also been digging through the archives of this blog. It's a in depth look at how Tsh lives simply. It's full of tips and tricks and pure bliss. New to a simple life? Start here.
Places with art - Recently I stayed at The Joule in downtown Dallas. According to their website, "The Joule is a revitalized 1920s neo-Gothic landmark building set in the heart of Dallas’ central business district. With dramatic art installations, unique retail boutiques, a world-class spa, clever design, award-winning food and drinks and some of the best service in town, The Joule is seen as the cultural epicenter of downtown." ...and art there was. I am craving more art for the simple fact that I need to be reminded of my own creativity.
Ex Libris Anonymous Journals - For all my list makers out there. I love these journals. They are repurposed hardback vintage books, spiral bound, and full of blank pages for lists, art, journaling, etc. I like the idea of repurposing books, and the best part is reading the few pages of the original book that are scattered throughout the journal.
Christmas Vacation - This movie takes me back to my childhood: The clothes, the traditions. I can't help but laugh, It's quirky, but lovable. Worth the watch to get you in the slap happy spirit of Christmas. "Are you serious, Clark?"
Bing Crosby Radio on Pandora Radio - Oldies, but goodies to remind me about the true spirit of Christmas.
This Is Us - The new NBC family drama. It's inspiring to me because not only does it showcase the complexities of human relationships, but also how every decision we make impacts the lives of others for a lifetime. It's a unique view on perception and I can't get enough.
