Fire*side Reflection
(The most honest and real answers surface when sitting around a campfire with friends and sometimes even strangers.  Reflect on this question with loved ones or in your journal)

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

4(for) green acres tidbit

The focus this autumn is centered around community.  Living a 4(for) green acres life not only involves taking care of the physical land around you, it is also vital to take care of yourself and submerge into the conscious activity around you.

Winter is the perfect season to cleanse.  Declutter your home and give away unwanted items.  Clean out closets, drawers, and cupboards.  Get your home in order so when spring rolls around you can spend your time outdoors.

Winter is a great time to take care of hardscape projects such as fixing fences.  When weather permits work on your garden boxes and clean your tools.

Are you burning fires to keep warm this winter?  Don't forget to throw your ashes on the compost pile.  They are a great source of potassium.

When you can't get outside start planning your 2013 garden and order your seeds.  At the end of the season it will be time to start planting.

February is a good time to prune your trees.  They are dormant this time of year.
